The Christmas customs in the Czech Republic
Four Sundays before the Christmas Eve is an advent.
People make a wheath with four candles.
Every Sunday they light one candle. The most widespread custom is a putting of Christmas tree.
The people decorate their Christmas tree by decorations. They also produce a Christmas crib and a creche.
24th of December is a family traditionally alltogether. They have a holiday dinner. The dinner consists of chowder,potato salad and carp.
After the holiday dinner the people decompress their Christmas presents by BABY JESUS.
On Christmas Eve the Czechs mostly keep the folkways for example: throwing with shoe or bleeding nutshell.
